Like any florist that does daily deliveries, we come across dozens of requests to create and send arrangements. It’s part of our job, and we absolutely love it. But one of the things that sets us apart from other florists is our love for the story behind the flowers.
A little over a week ago, we received an online inquiry requesting information on our daily arrangements and the process in which they are created.
The request came from a young man who lives in Canada and wanted to ask a girl in Rochester to attend his prom. He explained to us that he was going to write a letter for us to attach to the flowers telling her to look at the classifieds in the local paper. He then told us that he took out an ad in the Democrat and Chronicle physically asking her to be his date. The icing on the cake was the day this wonderful story was going to unfold also happened to be her birthday!
Now, we come across wonderfully heart-felt stories like this all the time, but there was one incident that made this boy’s request stand out.
The day we were to deliver the arrangement, we heard through the grapevine that a local news station came across the ad, and with the help of social media located the parties involved and picked up the story.

We came across a photo shoot that showcased a dress created by Tara LaTour and immediately fell in love.
Her edgy, yet romantic style is right up our alley. LaTour is notorious for her unique color pallet and her hand-dyed silks.

At the beginning of March we had an amazing time at Pierre Hotel in New York City as we teamed up
with Ambiance Luxe Wedding Designs in honor of the Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Platinum Vendor Party
to create a table setting inspired by Juicy Couture and Spring.

One of our more recent wedding receptions at the Memorial Art Gallery is sure to make anybody fall in love. Everything from the table center pieces to the detailing of the roses in the bouquet’s are completely inspired by romantic poems and novels selected by the bride herself. Each table could find quotes from the bride’s most treasured love poems and the paper roses were handmade by the Stacy K staff from the pages of novels. Table numbers went from traditional to totally romantic when we created them from rustic pages to give them the most perfect addition.
We wrapped the bouquet with a gold bracelet while two roses in the bouquet were given a more elegant look with earrings in the center as a memorable keepsake for the bride. The chain hanging from the bouquet was also made by the Stacy K team with a touch of charm found in the key to love.
